Chapter-1 hub sweep
Every overworld leg reachable from Drake Kingdom's map01 in chapter 1: which tile enters which scene, which record in the scene's MAN (its script-and-data bundle) carries the entrance, and which story flags gate it. The entrance model itself is on the world-map page; this page is the per-leg table that validates it.
At a glance
- Scope
map01's interior legs beyond the story spine (town01 → map01 → keikoku,map01 → rikuroa / dolk → dolk2):cave01,vell,vozz,suimon,jou, and the four-deep Drake Castle interior.- Method
- Decode each leg from disc bytes, then drive it in-engine: walk
town01 → map01, step on the portal tile, confirm the scene loads with its MAN present. - Oracles
chapter1_hub_sweep_oracle.rs,chapter1_hub_depth_oracle.rs,chapter1_hub_breadth_oracle.rs(disc-gated,crates/engine-core/tests/).- Notation
P1[n]/P2[n]= MAN partition-1 (placements) / partition-2 (trigger records);[a,b,c]= record counts per partition; C1 blocks if any flag is set, C2 requires all.- Result
- No C1/C2 progression gate stands between a fresh Drake arrival and any of the five hub legs. The gated doors are inside them.
The hub legs
| Leg | map01 tile | Entrance record | MAN partitions | Exits | Gate |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
cave01 | (37, 110) | P2[5] | [1, 13, 18] | map01 via two mouths: P2[0] trigger (8, 89), P2[1] band (93..94, 96) | none |
vell | (77, 97) | P2[6] | [8, 17, 13] | map01 via P2[10] band (88..92, 7) | none |
vozz | (107, 91) | P2[8] | [4, 24, 20] | map01 via P2[10] tiles (60..62, 2) | none |
suimon | (57, 61) | P2[19] | [10, 7, 3] | map01 (all three P2 records, ungated corridor) | none |
jou | (95, 23) | P2[37] | [15, 8, 7] | map01; jouina via P2[5] tiles (93..95, 97) | castle door C2 = [0x44D] |
dolk2 | same as dolk | P2[2] (selector on 0x142) | [29, 73, 17] (streaming carrier, extraction 70) | map01 only - a terminal interior | flag 0x142 set |
The only C1-gated map01 entrance is keikoku (C1 = [0x193]); the only conditional destination is the dolk / dolk2 switch; 0x482 belongs to the mist-wall band records, which have no destination.
Story-load-bearing legs
| Scene | What it gates | Records |
|---|---|---|
vozz | The Ravine unlock. The only 0x193 SET on the disc is P1[7] (51 93 at MAN 0xDA6), one-shot-guarded on 0x2AC. | P2[11..13] are self-latching one-shots: each record's C1 is the flag its own script sets - the canonical one-shot beat idiom. |
jou | The castle door. P2[5] (the jouina warp) sits behind C2 = [0x44D], set only by jou's own opener chain P2[2] → P2[3] → P2[4], itself gated on 0x44B (the Noa beat: izumi P1[15] / noaru P2[31]). | The door cutscene drives the player channel (A2 F8 06 ExecMove + C3 F8 HaltAcquire); the timeline stepper models the handshake so the record reaches its trailing 0x3F. See cutscene. |
cave01 | Nine of 18 P2 records gated: six self-latch one-shots plus the longest ordered beat chain on a hub leg. | P2[13] (C1 0x15E / C2 0x15D) → P2[14] (C1 0x169 / C2 0x15E) → P2[15] (C1 [0x13, 0x142] / C2 0x169). Ungated P2[16] sets the 0x15D entry key. urudre1 P2[0] tests 0x15E cross-scene. |
vell | P2[11] self-latches on 0x2AF; P2[7] carries C1 = [0x63A, 0x7] byte-identical to vozz P2[7]. | 0x63A has no script site anywhere on the disc (open thread). Record 53 is a gate-4 trigger family over five scattered tiles, seen on no other leg. |
The Drake Castle interior
1joucastle grounds; door P2[5] behind
0x44D[15, 8, 7]
2jouinanot terminal: exits to jou and jouinb, both ungatedbusy-latch C1 = [0xF]
3jouinbfully ungated; P2[9] back, P2[10] deeper[19, 7, 13]
4jouinclists jouinb and jouind; decode of jouinc / jouind is an open thread[43, 18, 60]
Once the 0x44D door is passed the deep castle is open. The breadth oracle drives jou → jouina → jouinb → jouinc end-to-end in one session, the deepest driven interior chain in the engine.
Decoder pitfalls
- Frame shift. CDNAME block numbers are raw TOC indices; the extraction frame is
raw - 2. An unshifted window bleeds two entries into the next scene's block - which is howdolk2once appeared to share a MAN withsuimon. In the retail framesuimonkeeps its 2345-byte[10,7,3]MAN anddolk2resolves its own streaming carrier. Position law: scene-v12-table. - Partition asymmetry. A partition-1 destination scan under-reports doors carried only by P2 records (
jouinb's return door); a P2 walker or the strict portal-site join sees them.
